It is an honour for me to welcome honourable guests, food scientists, technologists, professionals and business owners from various parts of the world to attend the 2nd International Conference on Food Science, Nutrition and Probiotics to be held during August 06-08, 2018 in Berlin, Germany.

Food is an essential part of everyone's lives. It gives us the energy and nutrients for various activities of life such as growth and development, health, movement, work, play, think and learn. For healthier life activities, the body needs a variety of nutrients which includes protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals. Next to this need is the correct quantities, i.e. balanced diet. The consequences of not having a balanced diet are numerous. On the other hand, food production and its availability in the right quantity and quality is an important, critical and complex job consisting of numerous activities at all stages starting from farm to fork. Food production and supply is a science as well as art. Various subjects and scientific disciplines such as are involved directly or indirectly it all activities of food production and supply. It is quite important to understand the importance and significance of input from each scientific disciplines and subject.

The 2nd International Conference on Food Science, Nutrition and Probiotics is planned to share the information on scientific developments and innovations in the various disciplines of food production and supply. It includes innovations through R & D, farm and machinery, processing and packaging, public health, preservation and management systems, nutrition and diet management, probiotics and functional foods, aquaculture and medical foods etc. The Conference is a unique forum for all stakeholders that offers the opportunity to learn from each other's practice and experience, exchange experience and establish business contact to have mutual benefits. The conference consists of scientific sessions and workshops. The success of the previous Conference held in various parts of the world guarantees that it is wrathful to participate in the forthcoming conference. I am quite hopeful that the conference will satisfy the participants expectations.
